My focus is on always trying to treat the inevitable highs and lows of life with the same blissful, calm energy.

That's the fun part of it all. You get creative when you're in Little League. You're creative when you're in middle school. You're creative in high school and college. And then when you get to the league, this position, the more mobile quarterbacks, we have a tendency to want to become traditional and nervous and panicky in how we want to call plays and put guys in position to make plays.

You have Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan... and Mario Lemieux. He's the best in hockey, in my opinion.

For the first 20 minutes, it was strange. But as time goes on, you just say it's football with a different uniform. I always liked the uniform, but I hated it when I played against them.

I'm having fun, plain and simple, ... I'm having fun and everybody's taking care of their business. I haven't felt like this in like three years, since 1997.

I never once got to the point where I said it's time to move on and go somewhere else and thought it was going to be better, ... Because trust me, if you have problems here and you take that baggage with you, it will be the same thing over and over again. So I had to get myself together before I really tried to do anything.

The reality of it is, if I'm not in the plans, with one year left on my deal, the only fair thing to do is give me the opportunity to back out and shop at the mall.

When you're not sure of some things, you're going to be lacking some confidence because you're not sure what's really going on, ... You feel like you know, but you really don't know. And when you consistently don't play on a certain level week in and week out, it feels like it's all you. Sometimes it's going to cause you to check yourself and wonder what's going on.

Now that I'm back at this point, if I wasn't a level-headed individual, I'd be exploding and blasting people, saying, 'I told you so.' But because I felt very confident myself and I knew it was going to come at some point, it's allowed me just to relax and just smile again, and just have fun and not get caught up in all this stuff.

My contributions to the team won't be worth much, not being the guy,
